Pharmacological Action

A herbal preparation containing flavonoids, glycosides, tannins, and ascorbic acid.

It has diuretic, analgesic, anti-hemorrhoidal, laxative, hypotensive, anti-inflammatory, uterotonic, antimicrobial, astringent, and hemostatic effects.

It reduces urate content and eliminates small stones.

Indications

Use for the treatment of the following conditions.

• Hemorrhoids and associated hemorrhoidal bleeding.
• Constipation of atonic or spastic origin.
• Nephrourolithiasis for the elimination of small urinary stones.

Dosage Regimen

Prepare as an infusion using a 10:200 ratio of raw material to water.

Administer orally, 15 ml of the prepared infusion, three times per day.

Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and preparation method.

Adverse Reactions

Monitor for signs of allergic reactions, which are possible upon use.

Discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention if any hypersensitivity symptoms, such as rash, itching, or swelling, occur.

Contraindications

Do not use under the following conditions.

• Known hypersensitivity to the plant Polygoni persicariae herba or any plants from the Polygonaceae family.
• Hypersensitivity to any of the other components of the preparation.

Drug Interactions

Exercise caution due to the potential for pharmacodynamic interactions.

The diuretic effect may potentiate the action of other diuretic agents, potentially leading to electrolyte imbalances.

Concurrent use with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs may require monitoring due to the hemostatic and anticoagulant properties of the herb’s constituents.

Overdose
