Pharmacological Action

Propolis is a product of the vital activity of bees.

It has antipruritic and analgesic effects, stimulates the granulation process, accelerates the process of regeneration and epithelialization of wound surfaces, and has a weakly expressed anti-inflammatory effect.

Indications

Microtraumas, superficial damage to the skin and mucous membranes; otitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis; inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa (catarrhal gingivitis and stomatitis, aphthous and ulcerative stomatitis, periodontitis).

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected skin or mucous membrane areas 2-3 times daily.

For microtraumas and superficial skin damage, pre-clean the wound surface before application.

In cases of otitis externa, apply the ointment to a turunda and insert it into the external auditory canal.

For pharyngitis and tonsillitis, apply the ointment to the palatine tonsils and the posterior pharyngeal wall.

For inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, apply directly to the affected areas after meals.

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the condition and the therapeutic effect achieved.

If no improvement is observed within 3-5 days, discontinue use and consult a physician.

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.

Discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice if signs of a local allergic reaction occur.

Adverse Reactions

Allergic reactions itching, skin redness, rash.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to propolis and bee products, hay fever, acute eczema.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it should be used after consultation with a doctor, in cases where the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Special Precautions

Propolis should be used according to the indications, method of application, and in the doses specified in the instructions for use of propolis preparations.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
