Pharmacological Action

The drug helps to increase the body’s nonspecific resistance, enhance tissue regeneration, reduce vascular permeability, and normalize carbohydrate metabolism.

The pharmacological properties of the drug are due to the presence of ascorbic acid and other substances (carotenoids, flavonoids, organic acids, etc.) that are part of its composition.

Indications

  • Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency states, including hypovitaminosis and avitaminosis.
  • Adjunctive therapy for asthenic conditions characterized by fatigue, weakness, and general malaise.
  • Support during the recovery period following infectious diseases, colds, and other debilitating illnesses to improve convalescence.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally. Adhere to the following dosing schedule based on patient age.

For adults, take 1 to 2 tablespoons two to three times daily. For children aged 2 to 3 years, administer 1/2 teaspoon; for children aged 3 to 6 years, administer 1 teaspoon; for children aged 6 to 12 years, administer 1 dessert spoon; all pediatric doses are given two to three times per day.

Adverse Reactions

Monitor for potential allergic reactions, which may include skin rash, itching, urticaria, or other hypersensitivity manifestations.

Discontinue use immediately upon the appearance of any adverse effects and consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

Drug Interactions

Contraindications

Exercise caution in patients with diabetes mellitus due to the high sugar content of the syrup formulation.

Overdose

Symptoms of acute overdose are unlikely but may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, diarrhea, or abdominal pain due to high ascorbic acid intake.

In case of suspected overdose, discontinue the medication immediately and initiate symptomatic and supportive treatment. Maintain hydration and monitor for any persistent adverse effects.

Pediatric Use

The drug is prescribed for children over 2 years of age.
