Pharmacological Action
Solidago virga aurea is a perennial herbaceous plant, often with a purple-red stem and yellow flowers collected in elongated racemes. It is widely distributed in dry forests and clearings throughout Europe.
The mother tincture is prepared from the flowering tops. Its composition includes:
- A small amount of essential oil;
- Catechin tannins with antidiarrheal action;
- Flavonoids with venotonic action;
- Triterpene saponins, virgaureasaponins, which give the plant diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties;
- Common phenolic acids and other more specific ones, such as leiocarposide, which also has diuretic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Solidago virga aurea has a diuretic effect.
Indications
- Administer for symptomatic relief of bladder pain and in cases of urolithiasis.
- Utilize when a painful sensitivity to pressure in the costovertebral angle is present, particularly against a background of liver and kidney pathologies.

Administer all potencies sublingually by allowing the granules to dissolve completely in the mouth.
Take doses 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after meals to ensure optimal absorption. For infants and children from 0 to 3 years old, first dissolve the granules by shaking in 10-15 ml of room temperature water before administration.
The standard and optimal single dose is 5 granules. A healthcare professional must determine the specific potency (C5, C9, C15, C30), frequency of administration, and duration of treatment.
