Pharmacological Action
A decoction of dandelion roots has a choleretic effect, increases appetite, and enhances the secretion of gastric juice.
Indications
- As part of combination therapy for chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia of the hypomotor type;
- For changes in the composition of bile with a risk of stone formation ( choleretic agent);
- To increase appetite and improve digestion;
- For hypoacid and chronic atrophic gastritis.

Dosage Regimen

Herbal raw material
Orally, as a decoction, warm, 50-70 ml (1/3 cup) 3-4 times/day 15 minutes before meals.
To prepare the decoction, 10 g (1 tablespoon) of the raw material is placed in an enamel-coated container, poured with 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath with frequent stirring for 30 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 10 minutes, strained, and the remaining raw material is squeezed out. The volume of the resulting decoction is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions are possible.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug;
- Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage;
- Gastritis in the acute stage;
- Acute pancreatitis;
- Cholelithiasis;
- Hypersecretion of gastric juice;
- Pregnancy, lactation period;
- Children under 12 years of age.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Pediatric Use
Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
Storage Conditions
In a dry place, protected from light. The prepared decoction should be stored in a cool, dark place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf Life
Shelf life is 5 years.
