Pharmacological Action

Polyvinox has an antiseptic effect, promotes wound cleansing, tissue regeneration, and epithelialization. When taken orally, it acts as an enveloping, anti-inflammatory, and bacteriostatic agent.

Indications

For external use: boils, carbuncles, trophic ulcers, purulent wounds, mastitis, soft tissue injuries, burns, frostbite, inflammatory skin diseases.

For oral administration: as part of complex treatment of erosive and ulcerative diseases of the stomach and duodenum, exacerbations of chronic gastritis with increased secretory function of the stomach.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Balm

Used orally and externally. The dose, method and scheme of application, duration of therapy are determined individually, depending on the indications, clinical situation and the dosage form used.

Liquid

Externally (for wetting wipes and direct application to the wound surface) in sufficient quantity.

Orally: 1 time per day 5-6 hours after the last meal (a light dinner at 6 PM and taking the drug at 11 PM-12 AM is recommended); for gastric and duodenal ulcers – 1 teaspoon on the first day, on subsequent days – 1 dessert spoon, course – 16-20 days; for gastritis with increased secretory function and severe heartburn – on the first day – 1 teaspoon, then – 1 dessert spoon every other day, course – for 10-12 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to polyvinox; pregnancy, breastfeeding period; children under 18 years of age; liver, gallbladder and kidney diseases.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).

Use in Hepatic Impairment

Contraindicated for use in liver and gallbladder diseases.

Use in Renal Impairment

Contraindicated for use in kidney diseases.

Pediatric Use

Contraindicated for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Special Precautions

Polyvinox should be used only according to the indications, method of application and dosage regimen indicated in the instructions for the specific polyvinox drug.

If there is no effect during treatment with the agent or if the condition worsens, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
