Dietary supplement – a source of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli

Properties

The dietary supplement Yogulact 55+ helps to normalize the intestinal microflora. Changes in the intestinal microflora (intestinal dysbiosis) occur during antibiotic therapy, irrational nutrition, stressful situations, chronic gastrointestinal diseases, food allergies, helminthiasis, infectious diseases, unfavorable ecology, malabsorption (impaired absorption of nutrients, vitamins, and trace elements in the small intestine), and other conditions. The number of beneficial bacteria in the intestine decreases with age. As the body ages, the composition of the intestinal microbiocenosis and the functional properties of microorganisms change; the number of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli decreases, and the growth of putrefactive microflora increases. In elderly people, intestinal dysbiosis occurs more often than at a young age, and in a greater number of cases, significant disturbances in the microflora are detected.

Manifestations of intestinal dysbiosis include: constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia (indigestion), flatulence (bloating), nausea, belching, vomiting, abdominal pain, and possible allergic skin reactions. The bacteria that are part of Yogulact 55+ have great biochemical significance for the body: – they actively participate in digestion and absorption. They promote the formation of lactic acid in the intestine, thereby ensuring a shift in the pH factor to the acidic side. The acidic environment inhibits the growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria and ensures the optimal action of digestive enzymes; – they regulate the quantitative and qualitative composition of the normal intestinal flora; – they participate in the synthesis of B vitamins, K, ascorbic acid, folic and nicotinic acids, thereby increasing the body’s resistance to adverse environmental factors; – they promote the synthesis of essential amino acids, better absorption of calcium salts, and vitamin D; – they participate in the metabolism of bile pigments and bile acids, protein and mineral metabolism, improve the processes of absorption and hydrolysis of fats, and help reduce cholesterol levels; – they prevent the reproduction of pathogenic, putrefactive, and gas-forming intestinal microflora. They synthesize substances with antimicrobial activity (lysozyme, hydrogen peroxide, bacteriocins (lactacins)); – they stimulate the body’s immune system; – they have anti-allergic properties.

Bifidobacterium bifidum – bifidobacteria, which are representatives of the normal human microflora. When taken orally, they promote rapid colonization of the intestine and restoration of normal microflora. Bifidobacteria activate parietal digestion in the intestine, enhance the protective function of the intestine and the body’s immune system. They prevent the development of diarrhea, as they are antagonists of a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria. Bifidobacterium breve – bifidobacteria, representatives of the normal human microflora. They are resistant to a number of antibacterial drugs. Bifidobacteria play an important role in normalizing the intestinal microbiocenosis, maintaining the body’s nonspecific resistance, improving metabolic processes, and synthesizing biologically active substances, including vitamins.

Bifidobacterium longum – bifidobacteria, which are representatives of the normal human microflora. They participate in the digestion and absorption of nutrients, as well as in maintaining a healthy balance of intestinal microflora. They help reduce cholesterol levels. They prevent the development of constipation. They have an anti-allergic effect and stimulate immunity. Lactobacillus rhamnosus – bacteria with high probiotic activity, which are representatives of the normal human microflora. They have high antibiotic resistance. They prevent the development and help relieve atopic diseases (allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, and others).

Lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria, which are representatives of the normal human microflora, are used as stimulators of the growth of lactoflora and bifidoflora in the intestine. They have high resistance to antibiotics and prevent the development or quickly relieve the manifestations of dysbiosis associated with the use of antibacterial agents. They stimulate various parts of the immune response. They have a pronounced antiviral effect due to the production of highly active hydrogen peroxide. They help relieve constipation. Lactobacillus casei – bacteria that are representatives of the normal human microflora. They promote the growth of other beneficial bacteria in the intestine and suppress the development of pathogenic microorganisms. They stimulate immunity.
