Pharmacological Action
Red mercury sulfide is found in nature as cinnabar (a mercury mineral), mined in Croatia and Spain. It is presented in the form of blood-red masses, from which a dense bright red powder is obtained, practically insoluble in water and alcohol.
Indications
Administer for the symptomatic management of specific conditions based on characteristic symptom patterns.
- Use for sinus inflammation presenting with facial redness, severe pulsating periorbital pain with conjunctival injection, posterior nasopharyngeal pain, and thick, viscous postnasal drip.
- Employ for genital inflammation characterized by a bright red rash, warts, papillomas, and associated pruritus.
Apply in the following clinical specialties for specified lesions.
- Otorhinolaryngology: Frontal sinusitis and ethmoidal sinusitis.
- Neurology: Periorbital neuralgia.
- Dermatology and Venereology: Warts, molluscum contagiosum, condylomas, and papillomas, particularly those that bleed easily upon minor contact.
Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
Administer all potencies sublingually. Dissolve granules in the mouth 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after meals.
For infants and children from 0 to 3 years old, first dissolve the granules by shaking in 10-15 ml of room temperature water before administration.
The standard single dose is 5 granules. A physician must determine the appropriate potency, dosing frequency, and treatment duration for all patients.
Adverse Reactions
No adverse drug reactions have been reported to date. Monitor for any new or unusual symptoms following administration.
Discontinue use and consult a physician if any undesirable effects occur, as individual sensitivity cannot be entirely ruled out despite the absence of documented cases.
Contraindications
Do not administer under the following conditions.
- Known hypersensitivity or individual intolerance to the active substance or any of the excipients.
- Patients with hereditary galactose intolerance, total lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption, due to the lactose content.
Special Precautions
The dosage regimen and frequency of administration are determined by the doctor.
If there is no therapeutic effect within 3 days, or if adverse reactions occur, you should consult a doctor.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported. Due to the highly diluted nature of homeopathic preparations, the risk of toxic effects from the active substance is considered negligible.
In the event of accidental ingestion of a significantly large number of granules, symptomatic measures may be taken if required, though no specific antidote is known.
Drug Interactions
No pharmacodynamic or pharmacokinetic interactions with other medicinal products are known or expected. Concurrent use with other medications is permitted.
Inform your physician about all other drugs you are taking. The absence of documented interactions does not completely preclude the possibility in sensitive individuals.
Storage Conditions
At a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
Shelf Life
Shelf life is 5 years.
Dispensing Status
The drug is available without a prescription.
