Properties
The action of COMPLIVIT® DIABET is due to the properties of its constituent components (according to literature data)
Vitamin A ( retinol acetate) is involved in the formation of visual pigments, necessary for twilight and color vision; for bone growth, regulation of epithelial cell division and differentiation. Its antioxidant activity prevents the development of late complications of diabetes mellitus.
Vitamin E(α-tocopherol acetate) is involved in tissue respiration, metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, affects the function of the gonads and other endocrine glands, and slows down tissue aging processes. Vitamin E has pronounced antioxidant activity, providing protection of cell membranes and preventing the development of complications of diabetes mellitus.
Vitamin B1(thiamine hydrochloride) plays an important role in protein, carbohydrate, and fat metabolism, as well as in the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids. It has neurotropic activity, participates in nerve impulse conduction and regeneration of nervous tissue, playing an important role in slowing the progression of diabetic neuropathy.
Vitamin B2 ( riboflavin) is involved in tissue respiration, in all types of metabolism (carbohydrate, protein, fat), in the synthesis of erythropoietins, hemoglobin, necessary for the normal functioning of the lens and tissues most sensitive to oxygen deficiency (brain); protects the retina from ultraviolet radiation.
Vitamin B6(pyridoxine hydrochloride) participates in protein metabolism and the synthesis of neurotransmitters, necessary for the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system.
Nicotinamide(Nicotinic acid) is involved in tissue respiration, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.
Folic acid is involved in the synthesis of amino acids, nucleotides, nucleic acids; necessary for normal erythropoiesis, improves regeneration of damaged tissues.
Calcium pantothenate(vitamin B5) is involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, synthesis of steroid hormones, improves energy supply for the contractile function of the myocardium, accelerates regeneration processes, and participates in nerve impulse transmission.
Vitamin B12(cyanocobalamin) is involved in the synthesis of nucleotides, is an important factor for normal growth, hematopoiesis, and development of epithelial cells. Cyanocobalamin is involved in the formation of myelin, which forms the sheath of nerve fibers. Increases the ability of tissues to regenerate.
Vitamin C(ascorbic acid) is involved in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood clotting, tissue regeneration; increases the body’s resistance to infections. Normalizes capillary permeability, participates in the synthesis of steroid hormones, collagen, and in immune reactions. Enhances the detoxification and protein-forming functions of the liver, increases the synthesis of prothrombin.
Rutin has antioxidant properties, exerts an angioprotective effect: reduces the rate of water filtration in capillaries and their permeability to proteins. Contributes to slowing the development of diabetic retinopathy, preventing microthrombosis and other retinal lesions of vascular origin.
Lipoic acid – an antioxidant, participates in the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism, contributes to the reduction of blood glucose concentration and an increase in liver glycogen content, as well as overcoming insulin resistance. Improves neuron trophism and reduces the manifestations of diabetic neuropathy.
Biotin promotes cell growth, participates in the synthesis of fatty acids, in the processes of assimilation of other B vitamins. Biotin has an insulin-like action, reducing blood glucose levels. In diabetes mellitus, a disturbance in biotin metabolism and, as a consequence, its deficiency is observed.
Zinc is part of many enzymes, participates in all types of metabolism. Enhances the action of insulin. Zinc participates in cell division and differentiation, stimulates skin regeneration processes and hair growth, and also has an immunomodulatory effect.
Magnesium is involved in the regulation of neuromuscular excitability, reduces neuron excitability and slows neuromuscular transmission, and also participates in many enzymatic reactions.
Chromium is involved in the regulation of blood glucose levels, enhances the action of insulin in all metabolic processes.
Selenium – a trace element that is part of all cells of the body. Provides antioxidant protection of cell membranes, potentiates the action of vitamin E, necessary for the immune system. In combination with vitamins A, E, and C, it has an antioxidant effect and improves the body’s adaptive capabilities under the influence of extreme factors.
Ginkgo biloba extract improves cerebral circulation and the supply of oxygen and glucose to the brain, contributes to the normalization of mediator processes in the central nervous system. It has a dose-dependent vasoregulatory effect, regulating vascular blood filling. Improves metabolism in organs and tissues, promotes increased utilization of oxygen and glucose, and also has an antihypoxic effect. It has a positive effect on peripheral circulatory disorders, including diabetic microangiopathy.
