Pharmacological Action

Antiseptic. It has an antibacterial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, and has antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and hemostatic effects.

Indications

  • Candidiasis of the skin, nail folds, and oral mucosa.
  • Inflammatory processes in the oral cavity and pharynx, including tonsillitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis, glossitis, and aphthous stomatitis.
  • For topical use in gynecology: bacterial vaginosis, candidal vaginitis, and trichomonal vaginitis.
  • Vaginal sanitation prior to gynecological operations and childbirth.
