Pharmacological Action

The preparation has an expectorant, pronounced mucolytic, and bronchodilatory action.

Indications

  • As part of the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with difficult-to-discharge sputum (tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis).

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer the drops orally.

Take 20 drops three times daily.

Place the drops on a piece of sugar or mix with a small amount of water.

The standard duration of treatment is 2 weeks.

Consult a physician to increase the duration of therapy or to conduct repeated treatment courses.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms persist for more than 3 days.

Adverse Reactions

Allergic reactions are possible.

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy;
  • Period of breastfeeding;
  • Children under 18 years of age (due to insufficient clinical data);
  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

With caution (due to the presence of ethanol in the preparation): alcoholism, epilepsy, severe liver dysfunction, brain diseases and injuries.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Use in Hepatic Impairment

With caution in severe liver dysfunction.

Pediatric Use

Contraindicated in children under 18 years of age.

Special Precautions

If the symptoms of the disease do not decrease when using the preparation for 3 days, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

The preparation contains 48% ethanol (by volume). The maximum recommended single (20 drops = 0.9 ml) and daily (60 drops = 2.6 ml) dose for adults contains 0.33 g and 1.0 g of ethanol, respectively.

Overdose

To date, no cases of overdose have been observed.

Drug Interactions

Doctor Theiss Bronchosept should not be used simultaneously with preparations containing antitussive medicinal products, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.

Storage Conditions

In a place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F). Keep out of reach of children.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is 3 years.
