Pharmacological Action
A combined preparation with a general tonic action. The effect of the preparation is determined by the properties of its constituent components.
The complex of biologically active substances that make up the ginseng extract has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, increases mental and physical performance, and has a general strengthening effect.
Pharmacokinetics
The effect of the preparation is the combined effect of its components, therefore conducting kinetic observations is not possible; all components together cannot be tracked using markers or bioassays.

- Recovery period after past illnesses;
- To increase the body’s resistance to stressful situations.

Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
Take the elixir orally.
For adults, administer 15 ml (one tablespoon) twice daily.
Take doses strictly in the first half of the day to prevent sleep disturbances.
Adhere to a treatment course of 30 to 40 days.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
Measure the dose accurately using a proper measuring device.
Be aware that each 15 ml dose contains 1.9 grams of ethanol and corresponds to 0.3 Bread Units (XE) for diabetic patients.
This preparation is contraindicated for children under 12 years of age.
Adverse Reactions
Possible allergic reactions.
Contraindications
- Arterial hypertension;
- Increased nervous excitability;
- Acute period of infectious diseases;
- Convulsive conditions;
- Children under 12 years of age;
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
It is not recommended to use the preparation during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
Pediatric Use
Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
Special Precautions
To avoid sleep disturbances, it is not recommended to take the preparation in the second half of the day.
It should be taken into account that 15 ml of the preparation (1 single dose) contains 1.9 g of ethanol.
When prescribing the preparation to patients with diabetes mellitus, it should be considered that 15 ml of the preparation corresponds to 0.3 XE (Bread Units).
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
The preparation should be prescribed with caution to patients engaged in potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
Overdose
To date, no cases of overdose with Doppelherz® Ginseng Aktiv have been reported.
Drug Interactions
The preparation enhances the effect of psychostimulants and analeptics (Caffeine, camphor) and is an antagonist of agents that depress the central nervous system, including barbiturates, tranquilizers, and anticonvulsants.
Storage Conditions
The preparation should be stored out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).
Shelf Life
Shelf life – 3 years.
Dispensing Status
The preparation is approved for use as an over-the-counter product.
