Dosage Form, Packaging, and Composition

Oral solution : a yellowish-brown liquid with the aromatic odor of lovage; opalescence is allowed. During storage, cloudiness or sediment formation may occur.

Excipients : ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 60%* – 29 g, purified water – up to 100 g.

* The extractant – 60% ethyl alcohol is prepared from 96% ethyl alcohol and purified water.

Pharmacological Action

A diuretic agent of plant origin.

A combined preparation of plant origin, it has diuretic, spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial action.

Indications

As part of complex therapy in the treatment of chronic infections of the urinary bladder (cystitis) and kidneys (pyelonephritis), for non-infectious chronic kidney inflammations (glomerulonephritis, interstitial nephritis), as a means to prevent the formation of urinary stones (also after removal of urinary stones).

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally, undiluted, before meals.

Shake the bottle thoroughly immediately before each use due to potential sediment formation.

Adhere to a three times daily dosing schedule.

For adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older, the dose is 20 drops per administration.

For children aged 10 to 14 years, the dose is 15 drops per administration.

For children aged 5 to 9 years, the dose is 10 drops per administration.

For children aged 1 to 4 years, the dose is 5 drops per administration.

The drops may be taken with a small amount of water.

Maintain adequate fluid intake throughout the treatment course unless otherwise contraindicated.

After the resolution of acute symptoms, continue the treatment for an additional 2 to 4 weeks as directed by a physician to consolidate the therapeutic effect and prevent recurrence.

Do not exceed the recommended duration of use without medical supervision.

If symptoms persist or worsen after one week of therapy, discontinue use and consult a physician.

Adverse Reactions

Possible allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the combination, children under 1 year of age, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase; if the dosage form contains ethanol – alcoholism (including after anti-alcohol treatment).

With caution

If the dosage form contains ethanol, then use is possible in patients with liver diseases, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, brain diseases; in children over 1 year of age only after consultation with a doctor.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only as prescribed by a doctor, if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child.

Use in Renal Impairment

Used for kidney diseases.

Pediatric Use

Contraindicated for use in children under 1 year of age.

Geriatric Use

Use with caution in elderly patients.

Special Precautions

In edema caused by impaired heart or kidney function, consumption of large amounts of fluid is contraindicated.

In case of impaired kidney function, this agent should not be used as monotherapy.

In case of blood in the urine, pain during urination, or acute urinary retention, it is necessary to consult a doctor urgently.

Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and machinery

During use, the patient must exercise caution when engaging in potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, work of a dispatcher, operator).

Drug Interactions

Combination with antibacterial agents is possible and appropriate.

There is no information on clinically significant interaction with other drugs.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
