Properties

Gestalis is a dietary supplement containing all essential vitamins, minerals, plant-based docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), rich in Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, and lipofer (Iron in liposomes for complete absorption of this element).

Gestalis is specially designed for pregnant women. It replenishes the supply of substances especially necessary for a woman during this difficult period and, as a rule, does not cause side effects. It is also recommended for breastfeeding women and women planning a pregnancy. Gestalis can be taken by all adults to provide the body with valuable vitamins and trace elements.

Docosahexaenoic acid is a polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid obtained using a special technology from microalgae in the form of oil; it is a building material for all cell membranes, and its additional consumption during pregnancy is necessary both for the mother and, to a greater extent, for the proper development of the fetal nervous system and retina; during breastfeeding.

Iron in the form of Lipofer is obtained using liposomal technology, which allows iron to be absorbed directly from the intestinal tract without damaging the gastric mucosa, preventing gastrointestinal complications. Iron is necessary for hemoglobin synthesis. During pregnancy, a woman’s need for iron increases significantly; its deficiency can lead to anemia, delayed fetal development, and miscarriage.

Vitamin C has antioxidant properties, protects cells and tissues from the damaging effects of free radicals, and prevents the oxidation of fatty acids. It increases iron absorption, plays an important role in collagen synthesis and in strengthening immunity, and promotes the activation of folic acid.

Vitamin B1 plays an important role in carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism, as well as in the processes of nerve impulse conduction, and protects cell membranes from the toxic effects of lipid peroxidation products.

Vitamin B2 improves visual acuity, has a positive effect on the functions of the nervous system, liver functions, hematopoiesis, and improves the condition of the skin and mucous membranes.

Vitamin B6 participates in metabolism, is necessary for the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system, and activates the processes of absorption of amino acids and iron from the intestine.

Vitamin B12 participates in the synthesis of red blood cells (erythrocytes) and increases the ability of tissues to regenerate.

Beta-carotene is a precursor of vitamin A, involved in the process of cell differentiation, promotes tissue development, and improves vision.

Vitamin E contributes to the normal course of pregnancy, prevents miscarriages, has a powerful antioxidant effect that protects the body from free radicals, and works well in combination with selenium.

Vitamin D stimulates the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, regulates the process of bone tissue mineralization and the development of the fetal skeleton.

Vitamin K promotes blood clotting, participates in the development and calcification of bone tissue, participates in mineralization processes, is one of the components of cell membranes, actively influences their structural properties and functions, thereby maintaining normal motor activity of the intestine, stomach, and musculature.

Folic acid in combination with vitamins B12 and B6 helps reduce elevated levels of homocysteine in the blood of pregnant women. Homocysteine is an amino acid, an increase in the level of which can lead to damage to the vascular system and complications during pregnancy, especially in its second half. If the expectant mother receives the necessary amount of folic acid daily even 3 or 4 months before the start of pregnancy, this helps reduce the risk of fetal defects that form in the early stages of development. Folic acid is necessary for the normal course of growth processes, hematopoiesis, and embryogenesis.

Selenium in combination with vitamins E and C has a powerful antioxidant effect, increases the body’s resistance to adverse environmental conditions and viruses, thereby protecting against various diseases, is necessary for the work of the heart muscle and blood vessels, and slows down the aging process.

Iodine is necessary for the synthesis of thyroid hormones and plays a fundamental role in the development of the fetal nervous system.

Fluoride prevents the development of caries in the mother and child and promotes the formation of tooth enamel and dentin.

Zinc participates as a coenzyme in numerous metabolic processes, affects immunity and the intestinal mucosa, and regulates carbohydrate metabolism.

Copper is an integral part of important enzymes involved in the normal functioning of the respiratory organs, in the synthesis of red blood cells and cartilage tissue. A very important role belongs to copper in the creation of myelin – the sheath of nerve fibers.

Gestalis can also be used by individuals suffering from celiac disease (gluten intolerance).

Dosage Regimen

Adults, including pregnant and breastfeeding women, take 1 capsule once a day with meals. Drink with a sufficient amount of water. The duration of intake is up to 1 month.
