Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
The recommended dosage for adults is one tablet twice daily. The tablet should be placed under the tongue until completely dissolved (sublingual administration) or chewed.
The duration of use is one month. If necessary, the course may be repeated after consulting a doctor. It is not recommended to exceed the stated daily dose.
For optimal absorption, it is advisable to take the tablets between meals.
Adverse Reactions
When used at the recommended doses, adverse reactions are rare. However, in some cases, the following are possible, primarily associated with individual sensitivity.
Allergic reactions may occur, including skin rash, itching, urticaria. From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, heartburn, stomach discomfort. From the nervous system: headache, dizziness.
Nicotinic acid may cause a transient flushing of the skin of the face and upper body, a sensation of warmth, and tingling. These symptoms are usually mild and resolve on their own.
If any undesirable effects occur, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Drug Interactions
Glycine may potentiate the effects of antidepressants, anxiolytics, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants. Caution is advised when using concomitantly, and medical supervision is recommended.
Ginkgo biloba extract may affect blood clotting. Concomitant use with anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents (e.g., warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel) requires special caution and monitoring of coagulation parameters, as it may increase the risk of bleeding.
There is evidence that ginkgo biloba may reduce the effectiveness of antiepileptic drugs (e.g., valproic acid, carbamazepine). Use in patients with epilepsy is contraindicated.
If you are taking any prescription medications, consult your doctor before using this dietary supplement.
Overdose
Cases of overdose with this combination of components have not been described. With a significant excess of the recommended dose, an intensification of the described adverse reactions is possible.
Symptoms may include severe headache, pronounced dyspeptic symptoms (nausea, vomiting), and a significant drop in blood pressure. In case of suspected overdose, immediately discontinue use of the supplement.
Treatment is symptomatic; it is recommended to consult a doctor. Gastric lavage and intake of enterosorbents may be indicated.
