Pharmacological Action

A herbal product that contains flavonoids (including quercetin, rutin) and tannins.

It exerts a hemostatic effect, reduces capillary permeability, and increases blood coagulation.

Indications

Use for the management of various bleeding conditions due to its hemostatic properties.

  • Uterine bleeding, including postpartum hemorrhage and polymenorrhea.
  • Bleeding from small vessels and capillaries of the stomach and intestines.
  • Symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoids.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally, 30-40 drops of the liquid extract or 15 ml of the prepared infusion.

Take this dose 3-4 times daily, ensuring it is taken approximately 30 minutes before meals.

Adhere strictly to the prescribed frequency and timing for optimal therapeutic effect.

Adverse Reactions

The primary risk associated with use is the development of allergic reactions.

Contraindications

Do not use under the following conditions.

  • Hypersensitivity to Polygonum hydropiper or any components of the preparation.
  • Known allergy to plants of the Polygonaceae family.

Avoid use in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to herbal products.

Drug Interactions

Exercise caution with concurrent use of anticoagulant and antiplatelet agents.

The hemostatic effect may theoretically interfere with the activity of drugs like warfarin, heparin, or clopidogrel.

Monitor coagulation parameters closely if co-administration is necessary.

Overdose

No specific antidote is known. In case of suspected overdose, discontinue the product immediately.

Manage symptoms supportively; treatment should be directed at the clinical presentation. Gastric lavage may be considered if a large, recent ingestion has occurred.

Storage Conditions
