Hamamelis (Granules, Ointment, Suppositories, Wipes) Instructions for Use

Properties

The wipes have wound-healing, capillary-protective, and antipruritic effects.

They prevent exacerbation and relieve inflammation of the rectum in hemorrhoids (eliminate burning, itching, pain, swelling, heal fissures).

They relieve skin inflammation in various dermatological diseases.

Scope of Application

Proctology

• For the prevention and in the complex treatment of hemorrhoids (irritation and fissures of the rectum, hemorrhoids).

Dermatology

• Inflammatory skin diseases, including:
  • Dermatitis of various etiologies;
  • Exudative diathesis;
  • Couperose;
  • Intertrigo;
  • Skin irritation from aggressive exposures (thermal and sunburns, insect bites and others).

Dosage Regimen

Granules

Sublingually.

The granules must be dissolved in the mouth 30 min before meals or 60 min after meals.

For children from 0 to 3 years old, the granules are first diluted, shaking, in 10-15 ml of water at room temperature and given to drink.

The optimal amount per dose is 5 granules.

To determine the dilution, frequency and duration of administration, a doctor’s consultation is necessary.

Ointment

Externally and for the ointment – topically. A small amount of the opodeldoc or ointment is applied to the painful areas and rubbed in with light circular movements 2-3 times a day (opodeldoc) or 1-2 times a day (ointment). The course of treatment is 1-2 months. If necessary, after 1 month the course of treatment is repeated.

Suppositories

Insert into the emptied rectum, 1-2 suppositories per day. After insertion of the suppository, the patient must remain in a lying position for 30-40 minutes. The duration of the course of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the disease.

Wipes

Proctology

• As applications to the anal area until the wipe is completely dry, 2-3 times/day;
• As wet toilet paper.

Dermatology

• As applications.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
