Dietary supplement for liver function support

Properties

The dietary supplement Hepaguard Active® is made on the basis of soy lecithin, L-carnitine L-tartrate, and vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol acetate).

Phospholipids are the main components of cell membranes (cell envelopes), belonging to the class of highly specialized lipids that have a restorative and regenerating effect on the structure and functions of cell membranes, and inhibit cell destruction. Phospholipids are called essential, which reflects their importance for the body as indispensable factors for growth and development, necessary for the functioning of all body cells. Essential phospholipids are absorbed very quickly and eliminate cell membrane defects.

With regular course intake of phospholipids, it is possible to weaken the negative effect of oxidized lipids, reduce the severity of membrane damage, accelerate the regeneration of cell membranes, and improve metabolic processes occurring in the liver.

Hepaguard Active® has a hepatoprotective effect. As a source of phospholipids, it is recommended to improve the functional state of the liver, the normal performance of metabolic processes by the liver, and the detoxification of the body.

The L-carnitine contained in the Hepaguard Active® dietary supplement plays a very important role in normalizing liver function and protecting it. It promotes the catabolic transformations of fatty acids and helps enhance the synthesis of antiatherogenic HDL. L-carnitine is especially useful for people whose liver is under the stressful influence of xenobiotics, alcohol, and other toxic substances that cause liver degeneration.

Research conducted at the Federal State Institution of Science “Institute of Toxicology” (St. Petersburg) established that the composition of active substances contained in the Hepaguard Active® product (phospholipids, L-carnitine, and vitamin E) effectively combines the pharmacodynamic effects of phospholipids with vitamin E and the lipotropic action of L-carnitine.

In conditions of living in megacities and harmful industries, the synthesis of lecithin, which proceeds effectively in a healthy body, is often disrupted due to a deficiency in the body of essential nutritional factors that come only from food, such as polyunsaturated fatty acids, the essential amino acid methionine (for the formation of choline). Environmental pollution leads to a disorder in the mechanisms of synthesis of the body’s own phospholipids.

Therefore, taking the Hepaguard Active® dietary supplement as an additional source of vitamin E and containing phospholipids helps optimize metabolism, improve the functional state of the liver and the body’s antioxidant system. The Hepaguard Active® dietary supplement can also be used as a means to help increase the body’s resistance to the effects of toxic substances, maintain the homeostasis of the entire body, and protect cell membranes from oxidation.

The recommended dose (3 capsules) provides 10% of the adult’s daily requirement for soy lecithin (phospholipids), 93% for L-carnitine, and 37% for vitamin E.
