Dosage Form, Packaging, and Composition

Syrup from yellowish-brown to brown in color, slightly opalescent, with a specific odor and taste; a slight sediment characteristic of natural substances may be observed.

Thick aqueous extract (16-18:1) of iceland moss (Cetraria islandica (L.) Acharius s.l., thallus) 6 mg*

* equivalent to 96 mg-108 mg of iceland moss

Excipients : liquid sorbitol (non-crystallizing) (E420), xanthan gum (E415), sodium benzoate (E211), citric acid monohydrate (E330), purified water, lemon flavor (composition: lemon oil, ethanol (E1510), water, lime oil, flavoring substances, natural citral extract of Litsea cubeba).

Pharmacological Action

A herbal medicinal product, it contains a large amount of mucopolysaccharides, which cover, protect, and moisturize the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat, thus eliminating irritation and dry cough.

  • For the relief of dry, irritating cough.
  • For the relief of hoarseness.
  • For the relief of sore throat.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally four times daily.

The recommended daily dose for adults and adolescents over 16 years is 360 mg.

For children, the daily dose ranges from 60 mg to 240 mg, depending on age.

Continue treatment for 7 to 14 days, depending on the nature and severity of symptoms.

Adverse Reactions

Allergic reactions are possible, manifesting as skin itching, rash, erythema, or difficulty breathing.

A feeling of discomfort from the gastrointestinal tract may occur.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to iceland moss or any excipient.
  • Pregnancy.
  • Breastfeeding period.
  • Children under 1 year of age.

Use with caution in children aged from 1 year to 4 years; administer only after consultation and recommendation of a doctor.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient data.

Pediatric Use

Use is contraindicated in children under 1 year of age; use with caution in children aged from 1 year to 4 years (only after consultation and recommendation of a doctor).

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 30°C (86°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
