Pharmacological Action
A herbal remedy. It stimulates reparative processes in the skin and mucous membranes, accelerates the healing of damaged tissues.
It has a general strengthening effect, possesses antioxidant and cytoprotective action. It reduces the intensity of free radical processes and protects cellular and subcellular membranes from damage (due to the presence of fat-soluble bioantioxidants).
Indications
For oral and topical use: radiation injuries of the skin and mucous membranes; colpitis, endocervicitis, cervical erosion; gastric and duodenal ulcer, hyperacid gastritis, period after gastrointestinal tract surgery, atrophic pharyngitis, laryngitis, chronic colitis, nonspecific ulcerative colitis (as part of combination therapy).
For rectal use: hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal ulcers, proctitis, erosive-ulcerative sphincteritis and proctitis, catarrhal and atrophic proctitis, radiation injury of the mucous membrane of the lower colon.
For external use: scalped, postoperative, superficial burn wounds of II-IIIa degree (especially when preparing them for dermatoplasty), abrasions, trophic ulcers.

Dosage Regimen

Administer the oil orally, topically, or rectally as indicated by the specific condition.
For oral administration, take one teaspoon (5 ml) two to three times daily for gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, and colitis.
Ingest the oil 30 minutes before meals; the treatment course typically lasts 3-4 weeks.
For topical use in gynecology, apply to affected cervical and vaginal areas after standard cleansing.
Use saturated tampons, applying them daily for 1-2 weeks or as directed for cervicitis and cervical erosion.
For rectal administration, use microclysters or soaked gauze tampons for hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and proctitis.
Introduce 5-10 ml of oil into the rectum once or twice daily after bowel evacuation; the treatment course is 10-15 days.
For external use, apply a thin layer to cleansed affected skin areas several times daily for wounds, burns, and ulcers.
Cover the treated area with a sterile gauze dressing; change dressings daily or as needed based on wound exudation.
Adjust the duration of treatment based on the severity of the condition and the observed therapeutic response.
Discontinue use and consult a physician if severe burning, signs of allergic reaction, or other adverse effects occur.
Adverse Reactions
Possible: allergic reactions; when taken orally – bitterness in the mouth, diarrhea; with external and rectal use – burning sensation.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug; for oral use – cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis, hepatitis, cholelithiasis, children under 12 years of age; for rectal use – diarrhea.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is only possible if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.
Pediatric Use
Contraindicated for oral use in children under 12 years of age.
