Pharmacological Action

Antacid agent. Neutralizes free HCl in the stomach, reduces the activity of gastric juice, eliminates gastralgia, heartburn.

Indications

  • Acute gastritis;
  • Chronic gastritis with increased and normal secretory function of the stomach (in the acute phase);
  • Acute duodenitis;
  • Gastric and duodenal ulcer (in the acute phase);
  • Symptomatic ulcers of various origins;
  • Erosions of the gastrointestinal mucosa;
  • Reflux esophagitis;
  • Hiatal hernia;
  • Gastralgia, heartburn after excessive consumption of ethanol, nicotine, coffee, medication use, dietary errors.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally.

Chew 2 tablets thoroughly one after another for symptom relief.

Repeat intake every 2 hours as needed based on symptom recurrence.

Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 16 tablets.

For optimal effect, take the tablets 1 hour after meals and at bedtime.

Adjust the interval between doses based on individual patient response and symptom severity.

This regimen is for short-term use; discontinue once symptoms resolve.

Consult a physician if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks of continuous use.

Adverse Reactions

Allergic reactions, diarrhea, hypermagnesemia, hypercalcemia (in patients with renal insufficiency).

Contraindications

  • Chronic renal failure;
  • Hypercalcemia;
  • Hypersensitivity.

Use in Renal Impairment

Contraindicated in chronic renal failure.

Special Precautions

The drug is not intended for long-term use.

Drug Interactions

With simultaneous use, it reduces the absorption of indomethacin, salicylates, chlorpromazine, phenytoin, H2-histamine blockers, beta-blockers, diflunisal, isoniazid, tetracycline antibiotics, dicoumarol anticoagulants, barbiturates, iron preparations (the listed drugs should be taken 1 hour before or 1 hour after taking Inalan).

Anticholinergic drugs enhance and prolong the action by slowing gastric emptying. It enhances the effect of sulfadiazine, levodopa, acetylsalicylic acid, and nalidixic acid.

Storage Conditions

In a dry place out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).

Shelf life – 3 years.
