Pharmacotherapeutic Group
Homeopathic agent
Pharmacological Action
It is a homeopathic preparation used for menopausal syndrome. It exerts an estrogen-like effect by binding to estrogen receptors of hypothalamic neurons (affecting the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovaries system).
This leads to a decrease in the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) by the anterior pituitary gland. The reduction in gonadotropin release leads to the elimination of psychoemotional and vegetative-vascular disorders (such as hot flashes, tachycardia, increased nervous excitability, dizziness, headache) that occur in the premenopausal and menopausal periods and are caused by a sharp decrease in estrogen production with a simultaneous increase in the secretion of LH and FSH.
The preparation also has a sedative effect, normalizing sleep and mood.
The preparation is not intended for replacement therapy.
Pharmacokinetics
The pharmacokinetics of the drug Klimaktoplan® have not been studied.
Indications
- As part of the complex therapy of menopausal syndrome (hot flashes, increased sweating, palpitations, dizziness, itching, nervous tension, sleep disorders).
