Pharmacological Action
Micosidine is an antifungal agent that exerts a fungicidal effect against dermatophytes (Microsporum canis, Trichophyton gyrseum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton rubrum) and yeasts (Candida spp.).
The drug has an antibacterial effect against: Bacillus cereus, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Micrococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pyogenes.
Pharmacokinetics
After application, Micosidine is moderately absorbed into the systemic circulation, reaching Cmax after 4 hours. It is excreted in urine and feces within the first 24 hours.

- Skin diseases caused by fungi sensitive to the drug: dermatophytes Microsporum canis, Trichophyton gyrseum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton rubrum and yeasts of the genus Candida spp..

Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
Apply the ointment for external use only.
Before application, clean and dry the affected skin areas thoroughly.
Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected areas and surrounding skin, gently rubbing it in.
Use the ointment once daily, preferably in the evening.
Do not cover the treated area with occlusive dressings unless specifically directed by a physician.
Wash hands thoroughly before and after each application to prevent spreading the infection.
The maximum daily dose must not exceed 5 grams of ointment.
The standard duration of treatment is from 2 to 8 weeks.
Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after the complete resolution of clinical symptoms to prevent relapse.
If no clinical improvement is observed after 2 weeks of therapy, re-evaluate the diagnosis.
Do not use for longer than the prescribed period.
Adverse Reactions
Local reactions in the form of burning, itching, and redness of the skin are possible.
If side effects occur, treatment should be discontinued.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
- Severe liver and kidney diseases;
- Children under 18 years of age;
- Pregnancy and lactation period.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
The use of this drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Use in Hepatic Impairment
Contraindicated in severe liver function diseases.
Use in Renal Impairment
Contraindicated in severe kidney function diseases.
Pediatric Use
Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is contraindicated.
Special Precautions
Contact of the drug with the eyes should be avoided.

The drug should be stored in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 15°C (59°F).
