Dosage Form, Packaging, and Composition

Medicated inhaler patch in the form of a rectangular strip (size 6.0 cm×5.0 cm) with and without rounded corners, made of non-woven material with a protective coating; an adhesive mass with essential oils is applied to the strip; the patch is attached to clothing.

Composition mint oil (oleum menthae) without menthol, eucalyptus oil (oleum eucalipti), fir oil (oleum abiesis), levomenthol (levomenthol), lavender oil (oleum lavandulae), turpentine oil (oleum terebinthinae).

Properties

Natural essential oils have antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and tonic effects and are used for the prevention of colds and as a symptomatic remedy in the complex therapy of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).

The action of the patch is due to the properties of the natural essential oils that are part of its composition.

Mint oil has tonic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, immunomodulatory, and bronchodilatory properties. It has a positive effect on the respiratory system: it restores the functions of the ciliated epithelium of the respiratory tract and relieves bronchial spasms. For infectious and inflammatory diseases of the nasopharynx and upper respiratory tract, mint oil is traditionally used as a strong antiseptic. In addition, the smell of mint during colds has its own beneficial properties – it helps to improve general well-being (helps relieve headaches, normalizes body temperature, and eliminates the feeling of discomfort).

Eucalyptus oil is one of the most popular components of expectorant and antiseptic drugs. It has antiviral, including against the herpes virus, and antibacterial activity. It is used in the therapy of respiratory tract infections, rhinitis, and sinusitis. It has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and immunostimulating effects.

Fir oil is useful for influenza, colds, coughs, and bronchitis. Also, fir oil has a beneficial effect on the central nervous system, relieves fatigue, and normalizes sleep. The presence of phytoncides in fir oil allows its vapors to be used during the cold season to reduce the risk of diseases. The use of fir oil for a runny nose allows you to quickly relieve acute symptoms of rhinitis: swelling, nasal congestion, inflammation, and reduction of pathological secretory activity of the nasal mucosa.

Levomenthol is used to relieve the symptoms of colds (headache, runny nose) due to the analgesic and antispasmodic properties of levomenthol. Levomenthol also has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects.

Lavender oil traditionally has antiseptic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory effects. When inhaling its vapors, it facilitates nasal breathing.

Turpentine oil has antiseptic, distracting, irritating, and analgesic effects.

Scope of Application

To reduce the severity of symptoms of acute respiratory diseases, including to normalize breathing with nasal congestion and facilitate falling asleep; for the prevention of colds.

Dosage Regimen

For external use. Stick the adhesive side to clothing on the upper part of the chest. After no more than 8 hours, the patch must be removed. Repeat the procedure if necessary.

The patch can be stuck on any dry surface that is near an adult or child (a wall next to the bed, a desk at the workplace, etc.).

To prevent infection with ARVI and other colds, it is necessary to stick the patch on outerwear while in public places or transport.

Side effects

If there is increased sensitivity to the essential oils contained in the patch, the development of allergic reactions is possible.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the product; children under 2 years of age.

Special instructions

The patch is intended only for sticking on clothing and other surfaces. Do not stick on the skin.
