Pharmacological Action

Sabina (Juniperus sabina) is a dense shrub growing in central and southern Europe with scale-like, imbricated needles on the branches.

The mother tincture, prepared from fresh branches and needles, contains

  • Essential oil, acting directly on the uterus, the main component of which is sabinol, a substance similar to thujone;
  • Lignans, incl. podophyllotoxin;
  • Hydrocoumarins.

Lignans may exert an antiviral effect.

Indications

  • Menstrual disorders including short menstrual cycle, prolonged menstruation with bright red discharge and bloody clots, and dysmenorrhea with specific pain patterns.
  • Dysmenorrhea characterized by palpable pain in the lower back and pubic area, stabbing pains in the vagina, and pains radiating to the thighs.
  • Gynecological conditions such as menorrhagia and metrorrhagia.
  • Dermatological manifestations including genital warts and condylomas that are itchy, easily bleeding, and present with burning pain.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer sublingually. Dissolve the granules in the mouth 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal.

For children from 0 to 3 years old, first dilute the granules by shaking in 10-15 ml of water at room temperature and administer to drink.

The standard dose is 5 granules per administration. A physician must determine the appropriate homeopathic potency (C5, C9, C15, C30), frequency of administration, and duration of treatment based on individual patient presentation.

Adverse Reactions

No adverse reactions have been reported to date.

Discontinue use and consult a physician immediately if any unexpected symptoms or hypersensitivity reactions occur following administration.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Sabina (Juniperus sabina) or any of the excipients, notably sucrose and lactose.
  • Lactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption, due to the presence of lactose in the granule formulation.

Special Precautions

The dosage regimen and frequency of administration are determined by the doctor.

If there is no therapeutic effect within 3 days, or if adverse reactions occur, you should consult a doctor.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been reported to date.

Due to the high dilution of the active substance, toxic effects from the homeopathic preparation itself are considered unlikely. In case of accidental ingestion of a very large number of granules, seek medical attention if symptoms related to the excipients (e.g., gastrointestinal discomfort from excessive sugar intake) occur.

Drug Interactions

No known pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic drug interactions have been reported.

Concomitant use with other medications, including other homeopathic remedies and conventional medicines, is generally considered acceptable. Inform your physician about all products you are using.

The therapeutic effect may be impaired by strong flavors (e.g., coffee, mint, camphor) and tobacco, which are common antidotes in homeopathic practice; avoid these substances around the time of administration.

Storage Conditions

At a temperature not exceeding 25°C (77°F).

Shelf Life

Shelf life – 5 years.

Dispensing Status

The drug is available without a prescription.
