Pharmacological Action

A combined drug for topical use. Salicylic acid has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and keratolytic action. Zn2+ has a drying effect.

Indications

Apply the paste for the treatment of the following dermatological conditions where its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and drying properties are therapeutically beneficial.

  • Subacute eczema of various origins.
  • Plantar hyperhidrosis.

Use only on areas of skin affected by the conditions listed.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Apply the paste externally to the affected skin areas 1-2 times per day.

Limit the course of treatment to a maximum of 2 weeks.

Consult a physician if symptoms persist beyond this period. No specific dosage adjustments are required for initial application or discontinuation of therapy.

Paste

For external use. Apply to the affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks. If the symptoms of the disease do not disappear, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

There are no specific features of the drug’s action upon first administration or upon its discontinuation.

Adverse Reactions

Monitor the application site for signs of local intolerance.

The primary adverse reaction is allergic contact dermatitis, which may present as itching, redness, or a rash at the site of application. Discontinue use immediately if any of these symptoms occur.

Contraindications

Do not use this medication under the following circumstances due to the risk of adverse effects or lack of safety data.

  • Hypersensitivity to salicylic acid, zinc oxide, or any other component of the paste.
  • Application to weeping wounds or extensively exudative skin lesions.
  • Use in children under 12 years of age due to increased systemic absorption risk and insufficient safety data.

Special Precautions

Salicylic acid, which is part of the paste, can penetrate the skin into the bloodstream.

Do not apply the paste to foci of weeping wounds.

Overdose

Systemic absorption of salicylic acid is possible with prolonged use or application to large body surface areas, especially in children or patients with renal impairment.

Symptoms of salicylism include tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and hyperventilation. In case of suspected overdose, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention for symptomatic and supportive care.

Drug Interactions

No formal drug interaction studies have been conducted. Exercise caution with concurrent use of other topical medications, especially those with keratolytic, peeling, or abrasive properties, as this may increase skin irritation and systemic absorption.

Avoid applying to areas recently treated with other topical preparations.

Storage Conditions

The shelf life is 4 years. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the label.
