Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Prepare an infusion using 10 g of raw material per 200 ml of water.

Use the prepared, cooled infusion for gargling several times a day as required for symptomatic relief.

Herbal raw material

Use the prepared infusion (10 g of raw material per 200 ml of water) for gargling.

Adverse Reactions

Possible adverse reactions include allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or urticaria.

Discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if any signs of hypersensitivity appear.

Contraindications

Do not use under the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity to sage (Salvia officinalis) or any other plants from the Lamiaceae family.
  • Patients with a known allergy to any component of the preparation.
  • Children under 12 years of age due to the thujone content and lack of safety data in this population.

Drug Interactions

No specific drug interactions are currently known for topical use of sage infusion.

Exercise caution with concomitant use of sedative medications or anticonvulsants due to the theoretical potential for thujone to affect the central nervous system.

Inform your physician about all medications you are taking.

Overdose from topical use is unlikely. Accidental ingestion of large quantities of the essential oil or concentrated extract may lead to symptoms of thujone toxicity.

These symptoms may include tachycardia, dizziness, vertigo, tremors, and seizures.
