Pharmacological Action

A herbal remedy containing saponins, tannins, flavonoids, and vitamin C.

It has an astringent, tanning, antidiarrheal, hemostatic, uterotonic, anti-inflammatory, vasoconstrictor, antiseptic, and enveloping action; it reduces gastrointestinal motility.

Indications

Use for the symptomatic treatment of the following conditions.

• Diarrhea of various origins, including infectious gastroenteritis and functional diarrhea.
• Uterine bleeding ( metrorrhagia), specifically for heavy and frequent menstruation with an irregular cycle.

Dosage Regimen

Prepare as a decoction for oral administration. Pour one tablespoon of the raw material with 200 ml of boiling water. Boil for 30 minutes, then cool and strain the resulting liquid.

Take 15 ml of the prepared decoction five to six times per day. Adhere strictly to the specified dosage and preparation method.

Adverse Reactions

Adverse reactions are generally infrequent and mild. Allergic reactions are possible, including skin rash, itching, or urticaria.

Discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if any signs of hypersensitivity appear.

Drug Interactions

Exercise caution with concurrent administration of other medications. The tannins present may impair the absorption of concurrently administered alkaloids and heavy metal salts.

To avoid potential interactions, maintain a minimum interval of 1-2 hours between taking this preparation and other oral drugs.

Contraindications

Do not use under the following conditions.

• Known hypersensitivity to the herbal remedy or any of its components.

The use of this preparation is not recommended without medical consultation in cases of severe or persistent diarrhea, or unexplained uterine bleeding.

Overdose

No specific antidote is known. In case of suspected overdose, which may manifest as intensified adverse effects, discontinue use immediately.

Initiate symptomatic and supportive treatment. Gastric lavage and administration of activated charcoal may be considered if a large amount was ingested. Seek immediate medical attention.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
