Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer one 100 mg suppository intravaginally 5 to 15 minutes before each sexual intercourse.

Ensure the suppository is inserted high into the vagina near the cervix. For repeated intercourse, insert a new suppository each time.

The protective effect lasts for approximately one hour after insertion. Do not douche for at least 6 hours after the last intercourse.

Adverse Reactions

Local reactions may occur, including increased vaginal discharge, itching, burning in the vagina or on the partner’s penis, and vaginal dryness.

Allergic reactions and painful urination are also possible. Discontinue use if severe irritation develops.

Drug Interactions

Any other intravaginally administered medication may reduce the spermicidal effect.

Avoid concurrent intravaginal use of soaps and solutions, as they can inactivate the spermicide and compromise contraceptive efficacy.
