Film-coated tablets from light gray to dark gray, capsule-shaped, with a score on one side; on the cross-section – a core from light gray to yellow with darker and lighter inclusions; a specific odor is allowed.

Pharmacological Action

A combined preparation containing vitamins and minerals in specially selected doses that meet the needs of the body of people over 50 years of age.

Indications

Prevention of vitamin deficiencies and mineral deficiencies in people over 50 years of age, including:

  • During periods of intense mental and physical stress;
  • During the recovery period after illnesses;
  • With insufficient and unbalanced nutrition.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Take orally with a full glass of water.

Administer one tablet daily.

Take the tablet after a meal to improve tolerability and absorption.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Continue the treatment course for a duration of three to four months.

For subsequent courses, seek medical advice from a physician.

For patients with difficulty swallowing, the tablet may be divided at the score line.

Store the bottle securely to prevent accidental ingestion by children.

Adverse Reactions

  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Consultation with a doctor is recommended.

Special Precautions

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms

Does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and operate other mechanisms.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, weakness, gastrointestinal disorders.

Treatment: activated charcoal orally, gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy.

In case of overdose, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Drug Interactions

The preparation contains Iron and Calcium and therefore delays the absorption in the intestine of antibiotics from the tetracycline group, as well as antimicrobial agents derived from fluoroquinolone.

Vitamin C enhances the action and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the sulfonamide group.

Antacid preparations containing aluminum, Magnesium, Calcium, as well as cholestyramine, reduce iron absorption.

When thiazide diuretics are co-administered, the likelihood of hypercalcemia (elevated calcium levels in the blood) increases.

It is not recommended to use Vitrum® Century concomitantly with preparations containing vitamins A and D, due to the increased risk of overdose of these vitamins.

Storage Conditions

The drug should be stored out of the reach of children, in a dry place at a temperature from 10°C (50°F) to 30°C (86°F).

Shelf Life

Shelf life – 5 years.

The drug is approved for use as an over-the-counter product.
